In today's Danville Scoop: Kids Fest. Tellus comes to Danville. Local Passport.

Good morning, Danville. The ice cream cone was born in 1904 during The Worldās Fair in St Louis, when a waffle vendor rolled his waffles into cones after the ice cream guy ran out of bowls. Sweet teamwork!

š¶ Dog of the Week: Meet Reece š¾ Danvilleās Certified Good Boy

If joy had four legs and a goofy grin, itād look a lot like Reese.
This lovable pup is a one-dog partyāequal parts playful, cuddly, and totally smitten with his people. His day starts with a round of morning zoomies and wraps up with snuggles thatāll melt your heart. ā¤ļø
Got an active lifestyle? Reese is all in. Walks, fetch, adventures, showing off his āspinā (okay, itās a little wobbly but very cute)āheās game. He already knows sit, touch, catch, and will gladly keep learning if treats are involved.
Reese walks like a perfect gentleman... until a squirrel or cat shows up. Then itās āOlympic sprinterā mode. Because of that high prey drive, heās looking for a cat-free home where he can focus on his people (and not chase whiskers).
šÆ Most of all, Reese thrives on love and connection. He doesnāt want to be on the sidelinesāhe wants to be in the action, tail wagging and heart full.
If your home is full of love (and maybe tennis balls), Reese is ready to join the family.
š Reese has been at the shelter since March 2025
